Mission

The mission of Gazi University is to educate students as individuals in accordance with its core values; to contribute to society and the process of lifelong learning by producing ideas, knowledge, science, technology and services at the universal level through the pursuit of research. 

Vision

Gazi University aspires to be an entrepreneurial and leading university at the international level in science, technology and arts.

Neuropsychiatry of Education Research and Application Center;

The compatibility of the mission, vision and working principles of the unit with the strategic plan and objectives of the university was determined and reflected in the annual reports.

The research laboratory used by the unit started to operate after it was determined that it complied with international standards when it was established.

Mission

Gazi University Neuropsychiatry Center's mission is to contribute to the development process of society by producing, sharing and transforming information into life, with a researcher, questioning and analytical mindset, leading in the field of neuroscience.

Vision

To be a respected and leading research center at national and international level with its original research, high-level inquisitive education and creative activities in a wide range of brain sciences from normal mental functions to neuropsychiatric diseases.

Aims and Goals 
  1. To carry out high-quality and value-added research and development studies that will contribute to the strengthening of the research vision of the university.

  2. To strengthen the physical infrastructure of our research center for national and international research and development studies in line with the university's strategies. To establish the National Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Center of Excellence (NEUROM) in partnership with Ankara University and METU, in line with national development plans.

  3. To increase the number of academic staff and researchers with high research potential who can do international quality and multidisciplinary studies.

  4. To increase the number of publications and citations in international and national indexed scientific publications (books, journals, etc.).

  5. To apply for a patent.

  6. To increase the awareness of the society by sharing information about the health and diseases of the brain and nervous system in order to benefit the society from the research process and its results.

  7. Development of neuroscience-based education programs and biotechnological drugs by signing cooperation protocols in the field of neuroscience with non-governmental organizations; To organize joint awareness activities related to various brain diseases.

  8. To organize activities to raise awareness in society about critical thinking, critical reading and other thinking processes.

  9. To increase the number of PhD students in the Neuroscience Doctorate Program. Receiving doctoral students with the YÖK 100/2000 program.

  10. To enable PhD students to take part in international projects and gain research experience abroad.
